Overall CSV Importer:
At the top right of your screen near the Messages, Comments, and Support buttons, there is a cloud button with an arrow in it. If you hover over this button, it will say "Upload CSV File." From here, you will have to enter what kind of data you'd like to import (User, Test, or Wellness). If you are uploading tests data, you'll need to select your test in the import bar.
Individual Test CSV Importer:
When viewing a test in any of the Data Capture screens, you will see several buttons associated with that test to Edit, View/Generate, and Record Bulk Data Capture. The fourth button, which is yellow and cloud-shaped with an arrow in it, is the CSV Upload button for that individual test. It will take you directly to the Test Data import page discussed above.
Mapping:
Next, you will have to set your Key Identifier. This will almost always be your Player/Athlete. Set your key identifier, and ensure that the date formatting in the CSV is the same as the date formatting you select in the Field Mapping page, or the data will not import. Hit "Next."
This will take you to the Member Mapping page. If the names on your document are the same as the names in Catapult AMS's user database for your team, the data will automatically be linked from the person in the sheet to the athlete with the same name. If not, you will need to select the drop down on the right-hand side and select your desired athlete. This mostly comes into play with misspelled names and nicknames. Once all of the players have been mapped, hit "Next."
Note: If you have cells that you don't wish to pull into Catapult AMS or are blank cells, simply untick the box to the left of the cell.
The next screen you'll see is the Import Details. Ensure that the test looks correct, and hit the "Start Import" button. You can leave the page and work in the background if you'd like to, and the test will continue to import.
If there are no errors, you will get to the "Successful Import" page, where you can go to view your data, or go back to the start of the process and import a new document. If you have errors, the system will show you where the errors are located and give you the opportunity to download a CSV with the errors noted within it.
