Note: This article only applies if your team is using Groups Management to Assign Staff to Groups.
Every team will have at least one 'Administrator' who oversees all Groups. In the AMS by Catapult platform, users who need to manage or moderate Groups need to have a certain Permission enabled for their role.
Permission for a Staff Member to see Assigned Groups only
When creating or editing the Role of a Staff Member who should only have visibility of Athletes belonging to the Groups they are assigned to, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Administration > Configuration > Roles and Permissions
- Edit an existing role OR create new role
- Under the permission flags, locate Administration > Configuration > Groups > Member Data Restriction (see below)
- Check the box Assigned Groups Only
- Click on Apply Changes to save.
Permission for a Staff Member to see all Groups
For Staff Members (Administrators) who oversee and manage all groups, the Moderator permission should also be enabled.
- Navigate to Administration > Configuration > Roles and Permissions
- Edit an existing role OR create new role
- Under the permission flags, locate Administration > Configuration > Groups > Member Data Restriction (see below)
- Check the box Assigned Groups Only and Moderator
- Click on Apply Changes to save.
Staff with this role will now be able to moderate and see all groups on the team.
